Salt Room

Salt

Salt travels through the halogentor into the room where you inhale the natural, anti-microbial particles to absorb allergens, toxins, and foreign substances in your lung and respiratory tract.  Dry salt reduces inflammation and opens airway passages.  The evidence-based practice of Salt therapy will treat (but not be limited to): 

MEDICAL CONDITIONS-

Asthma, Bronchitis, Allergies, Cystic Fibrosis, COPD, snoring, sinusitis, skin condition including psoriasis, eczema, cell rejuvenation and improve skin rigidity. 

MENTAL HEALTH CONDITIONS: Generalized Anxiety Disorder and Multiple forms of Depression.

SPORTS PERFORMANCE:  enhancement through the improved circulation to recovery muscles.

Big Moves- Dance for PD

Senior Dance Club

Individuals, their family members, and/or care providers are invited to participate in this program to increase coordination, balance, flexibility, and strength through music and movement.  This class offers the power of dance in a social, non-medical environment to enhance participants' movement experience.  Parkinson's is shown to shorten movements, decrease ranges of motion, inhibit timing of movement, and purposeful actions.  Big Moves allows the participants to explore BIG movements to recalibrate and enhance motion for daily activities.  No dance experience is required only a healing heart.  

Yoga

Yoga is accessible to anyone and everyone.  All Yoga instructors ensure you practice correct body alignment in a safe and supportive environment.  Welcome yourself to experience an experience that will destress your body and mind.  Don't worry about the class moving too fast, knowing Sanskrit, or lacking flexibility, at the Wellness Center, "ALL are welcome here." 

Sukhasana

Mat Pilates

Pilates focuses on connectivity to the body's internal support.  All Pilates instructors will guide clients to embody their breath and movement to form healthy patterns of relationship within the body and with the force of gravity.  Pilates emphasizes anatomical alignment to help alleviate patterns of tension from over/under muscular use while assisting the body with optimal circulation, mobility, and stability.  All classes will target balance, alignment, and deeply fortify inner strength.  

Oxygen Barre

Yoga Class

Natural air we breathe contains only 21% oxygen compared to 40% from 200 years ago.  Pollution plus reduction in the ozone layer has caused many of us to suffer from a lack of oxygen.  Adding extra oxygen to your system helps to counteract pollutants and chemicals, decreases stress, and helps provide better sleep patterns. Oxygen also calms our mind, improves digestion, speeds recovery, and heightens memory, concentration, and alertness. Oxygen in higher concentrations fights chronic fatigue and combats aging.    Oxygen session are safe for those 12 and up.  You may NOT use the Oxygen bar if you suffer from COPD, cystic fibrosis, asthma, emphysema.  Medical clearance is required for those with heart/vascular conditions.

Massage Therapy

Drawing experience from dance, yoga, meditation, and training in a multitude of bodywork therapies our practitioners are here to assist in the restoration, recovery, and healing of your body.  The body has the ability to hold unresolved physical and emotional stress and regular bodywork can help to maintain harmonious balance, EMpower health, and enhance self-confidence.  Swedish, Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release, Prenatal Massage, Sports Prep and Recovery, and Medical Massage are all offered at The Wellness Center.
